Students at West Lakes Academy are celebrating an excellent set of A-Level results, with outcomes improving on last year and many students securing places at universities, apprenticeships and other exciting destinations across the country.
Among this year’s outstanding achievements are two students who have secured places at the prestigious University of Cambridge.
Headteacher Stephen Grant said:
“Students at West Lakes Academy are celebrating their A-Level results today, with grades improving on last year and young people securing places at universities and on apprenticeships across the country. There were some outstanding individual performances, including two students who have gained places at the University of Cambridge.
We are enormously proud of every one of our students. Behind each set of grades is a story of hard work and perseverance, and it is wonderful to see so many of them moving on with real purpose. While we are sad to see them leave us, we are delighted to watch them go off to make their mark on the world.”
Throughout the morning, students gathered to collect their results, sharing plenty of smiles and celebrating alongside friends, family and staff. The atmosphere reflected not only academic success, but also the strong sense of community that has supported students throughout their time at the academy.
We would like to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their achievements. We are incredibly proud of every single one of them and the effort they have invested throughout their studies.
Whether students are progressing to university, apprenticeships, employment, travelling or further education, we wish them every success in the next stage of their journey and look forward to hearing about all they achieve in the future.
Congratulations, Year 13, and enjoy your celebrations. You’ve earned it!
