Admissions for September 2026
If you have a child in Year 6 then it’s time to start thinking about applying for your Year 7 place for September 2026.
Our new prospectus is now available below, providing full details about life at WLA, our curriculum, enrichment opportunities, and support systems.
Key Admissions Information:
- Admissions are managed through Cumberland Council’s coordinated admissions scheme.
- Applications must be submitted using the Application Form provided by the local authority.
- The deadline for applications is the 31st October 2025.

We are also hosting a relaxed coffee afternoon for parents at The Core, Egremont on 21st October, please see details on the poster below. This is a wonderful opportunity for Year 6 parents to meet staff from the academy and ask questions.
