Admissions for September 2026
If you have a child moving in to Year 6 then it’s time to start thinking about applying for your Year 7 place for September 2026.
Our brand new prospectus is now available below, providing full details about life at WLA, our curriculum, enrichment opportunities, and support systems.
We also invite Year 6 and their families to attend our Open Evening on Thursday 18th September. This is a great opportunity to explore the academy, meet staff including our new headteacher Mr Grant and your child’s Year 7 Lead alongside current students, and get a feel for what makes WLA a vibrant and welcoming learning environment. More details about the event will be shared at the beginning of September.
Key Information:
- Admissions are managed through Cumberland Council’s coordinated admissions scheme.
- Applications must be submitted using the Application Form provided by the local authority.
- The deadline for applications is the 31st October 2025.
