WEST LAKES ACADEMY ACT OF REMEMBRANCE

An act of remembrance was conducted around the Tommy Soldier Statue at the front of the academy. Staff, cadet students and student ambassadors attended a brief ceremony led by Mrs Deeks. Freya, read the beautiful poem My Boy Jack (1915) followed by Mrs McMinn playing The Last Post. All students observed a 2 minutes silence.

Staff and students where also present at the Egremont Remembrance Parade on remembrance Sunday.
