GCSE Art & Photography

AQA GCSE art and photography are assessed against 2 units. Unit 1 Portfolio, this equates to 60% of the GCSE grade. Students have completed this over Year 10 and term 1 of Year 11.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unit 2 is an externally assessed task, set by the exam board. Student received their paper their 1st lesson back after the Christmas break.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Timeline

Students have a preparatory period which begins from January and students can work on this element and discuss ideas with their teachers and others. They then complete a 10 hour supervised time. This takes place the week beginning 27th April.

Support Sessions

Additional support and drop in session art available for students to utilise every lunchtime and on Mondays after school.

Photography sessions take place every Wednesday and Thursday lunchtime.
